‘Being an artist is not what I do, it’s who I am.  As such I perceive the world around me as a visual feast to be explored.  Until last year I had not had the opportunity, or facilities, to learn about the ways in which I might do this 3-dimensionally, despite always having a strong desire to do so.  I reached a point in my life where if I didn’t just go for it and follow the dream I would never have that opportunity.

I fell in love with Heatherleys – pretty much at first sight.  I have this sense of coming home every time I walk in the grounds.  I find endless inspiration – from my tutors, my surroundings, my fellow students… I have this theory that something emanates from the very walls.  Something ephemeral and intrinsic  that speaks to my soul.  The last year at Heatherleys has been one of the happiest of my life.  Taking this course may prove to be the best decision I ever made’
