Hilary Daltry R.E., Head of Printmaking
Hilary studied painting at the Slade School of Fine Art and printmaking at the Chelsea School of Art. She was awarded the Prix de Rome and scholarships to Greece and Spain. This Mediterranean influence is evident in her works of allegorical figures as well as her still lives of fruit and flowers.
Her woodcuts are drawn from life and hand-printed on Japanese paper, one wood block for each colour, creating rich overlays. She is an elected member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and exhibits at the Bankside Gallery.
