We’re introducing some exciting new printmaking weekend workshops this summer term.
The first, ‘Relief Printmaking’, runs on Saturdays the 10th and 17th of May and is led by Sasa Marinkov R.E. Students taking part will develop visual ideas in relief printmaking and explore vinyl/lino or wood block making, working either in colour or monochrome, and compare printing by hand with press printing.
The second, ‘Collograph, Card Prints and Carborundum’, runs on Saturday May 31st and June 7th and is led by Maggie Jennings. Using cardboard plates and textures students will learn how to make intaglio or relief prints. Maggie says ‘You can work large scale, wild and bold with rich tones, or choose to explore the miniature with subtle delicacy. Expect the unexpected!’.
