A huge congratulations from everyone at Heatherleys to Miriam Escofet for her win at the BP Portrait Award this week! (pictured above with fellow Heatherleys tutor, Allan Ramsay, who himself won the award 30 years ago today).

Miriam says ‘I’m completely delighted and overwhelmed to win 1st Prize. My students are obviously delighted as they see the techniques that I’m teaching them being put into practice and validated’.

Miriam’s painting will be on display at the National Portrait Gallery until the 23rd of September and we hope you’ll all go and see it.  For details of her Friday ‘Alchemy of Oil Painting’ class please visit our day and evening class timetable.
