The Cheyne Walk Trust Riverside Painting Exhibition private view was held at the school on 22nd April. Royal Academian Ken Howard opened the proceedings and presented the various prizes. Winners included Adebanji Alade (quick on the heels of success at this year’s Bath Open), Louise Diggle and Alexandra Buhler.
Nick Bonham then presided over an auction of works by artists Julian Barrow, Frederick Gore, Hazel Soan, Heatherley’s Chairman William Packer, Melissa Scott Miller and Roy Connelly. Fifty percent of all sales went towards the Heatherley Bursary Scheme for Young Artists, raising a total of £26,000.
